Anne is a symbol of the strength of the human spirit. Her diary recounts the story of her family and others forced into hiding at Prinsengracht 263, Amsterdam, during WWII. Documenting not just the horrors of war but the everyday problems of being a teenager, never stepping outside, day after day of confinement. In hiding for over 2 years until their capture and deportation to Nazi concentration camps, leaving behind her diary. She died of Typhus at the Bergen-Belsen camp, just weeks before its liberation. Only her father, Otto Frank, survived the war. Anne was just 15 years old.
