The Rise of Bury’s

Black Pudding Queen

Debbie Pierce’s story is woven into the heart of Bury Market. She began as a Saturday girl, serving customers on the bustling black pudding stall and learning the trade the traditional way. Early starts, cold mornings, and the unmistakable grit of a true Lancashire lass. Over the years she mastered every part of the craft, from the recipes to the rhythm of market life. That determination carried her far beyond the stall. Debbie went on to found The Bury Black Pudding Company, transforming a humble local favourite into a nationally recognised brand. Today, she stands as the Queen of Black Puddings, keeping Bury’s most famous tradition sizzling for new generations.
