Since 1783

Hainsworth,

fabric of a nation.

There can be no image more iconic than the majestic sight of 'Redcoats'

at the Battle of Waterloo (1815) and Charge of the Light Brigade (1854).

Or more spectacular than the Grenadier Guards at Buckingham Palace

and coronation of Charles III.

Standing the test of time

from George III to Charles III.

'Old Bim' started with half-a-crown in 1783, collecting cloth from

cottage weavers and taking it by cart to Leeds Cloth Hall. From

his first sale he began filling a silver mug with gold sovereigns.

He died in 1836, the wealthiest man in the district. Eeh by gum!
