The most beautiful woman in the world, was married to King Menelaus of Sparta. Paris fell in love with Helen, he abducted her and took her back to Troy.  An armada of 1000 ships sailed across the Aegean Sea to Troy, to get Helen back. After a fruitless 10 year siege, the Greeks built a large hollow wooden horse concealing soldiers inside, they left it outside the city gates and retreated. Trojans cheering, dragged the horse inside the city gates. That night, soldiers emerged from

the horse, and opened the city gates to let the Greek army in.

Troy was destroyed and Paris was killed. Helen and Menelaus

were reunited.
