Titanic linoleum
When the RMS Titanic set sail in 1912, many of its public spaces featured linoleum flooring, and nearly 100 years later, an expedition to the famed wreck discovered those tiles - still intact.
On Boat Deck, the flooring was made of black and white tiled linoleum. The reason for this is actually quite interesting - as it looks similar to marble and has a far more difficult time getting scuffed or scratched, in 1912 the material was actually worth a hefty bit more than marble.
