Designed by Alec Issigonis the Mini broke the mould, with its transverse engine, front wheel drive layout and incredibly compact dimensions. It revolutionised the small car and became the best selling British car in history, with a production run of 5.3 million units. Production ran until 2000.

Though the minivan proved to be a cheaper alternative, lacking some of the features of the mini car, it proved to be a fantastic vehicle for small business set ups, classified commercial with no purchase tax, and on the road for less than £370!
