By the time Anne succeeded William III to the throne she was a virtual invalid, and had to be carried to her coronation in an open sedan chair with a low back to permit her train to flow. Her reign was marked by many triumphs, including the Acts of the Union, when England and Scotland were united into a single kingdom called Great Britain, with one parliament, on May 1st, 1707. A constitutional masterstroke that would make both countries stronger and richer.

Anne, on behalf of a grateful nation, granted Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough, Woodstock manor and a sum of £240,000 to build a house as a showcase to his famous victory. Blenheim was the 1st significant victory by a British army in Europe for nearly 300 years - since Agincourt. Later, it became the birth place and ancestral home to Sir Winston Churchill.

Prince George drinks all and Princess Anne eats all.
