“In 1823, William Webb Ellis first picked up the ball in his arms and ran with it. And for the next 156 years forwards have been trying to work out why”  Sir Tasker Watkins (1979)

Rugby's origins can be traced back over 2000 years ago to China and Japan. Between the 15th and 16th centuries, it was played village against village. With 100s of players on both sides, using any means possible to get an inflated pigs bladder to markers at each end of the village.  Chaotic fun!

"Rugby is the only sport where you can be kicked, smacked, tackled, punched and bitten, and LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT!"  Victor Rivera, Second Row
