Blenheim Palace was born from the blood and sweat of the battleground. Built to honour John Churchill, the 1st Duke of Marlborough, after he led an allied victory against the French in 1704. Two hundred years later, the stately home served as the birthplace for Britain's greatest wartime leader, Winston Churchill.
