Led warring tribes in revolt against the Romans

The Romans not content with seizing Iceni property and land, they publicly flogged Boudica and raped her daughters. Enraged, she united warring tribes and led them in revolt against the Romans that resulted in the destruction of at least 2 settlements and almost drove the empire off the island. While the revolt failed, the Iceni Queen became a modern-day heroine.
